"My Lord, On My Way" by Sri Chinmoy - Scores and renditions

This little booklet collects the draft and final score for the songs Jatra Pathe Naiba and My Lord, On My Way, and renditions by different people.

The song of my life

Guru composed and taught this song on December 1st 2006.

I have been trying to learn Guru's songs. I simply adore all of them. But this one is the song of my life.

My Lord,
On my way to the Goal
If I see You not
No harm, no harm, no harm!
With a devotion-heart
I shall remember You
And Your Footsteps.

This is, by far, my favourite picture of Lord Ganesh. This is the picture you can find in Kanan's store, The Garland of Divinity's Love in Jamaica, Queens.

The constantly ringing aspiration-prayer

[From The Master and the disciple, by Sri Chinmoy]

How can you play your role with aspiration?

Early in the morning, when you leave your bed, you can say to the Supreme,

Oh Supreme, make me unconditionally devoted to You so that I can serve You in Your own Way.

Sanatan Dharma: the eternal religion of humanity

Sri Chinmoy has written not only immortal poetry and prose, but also some astounding theatrical work.

The Descent of the Blue may be one of Sri Chinmoy's less known plays, but it has always inspired me so much. It is different from the others, some may call it difficult, but it certainly endows the reader (or spectator) with insights difficult to find somewhere else.

Among The Descent of the Blue's many jewels, shines the vision of the sacred destiny of Mother India as indivisible vehicle and guardian of the Sanatan Dharma.

The speech published here -- called Uttarpara Speech, given by Sri Aurobindo on 30 May 1909 -- offers another view on the role India and Hinduism are going to play in a hopefully near future for the upliftment of man.

The Sanatan Dharma -- eternal because universal -- does not belong just to India, but to every nation of the world. It is the eternal religion of humanity.

An immortal photograph. Unfortunately I am unable to credit the photographer properly. Let me know if you know him.

From Prachar's archives. Thank you!

A sweet recollection of Sri Chinmoy's thoughtfulness, by Kanan Roberts

We recorded this story with Kanan for Conversation-Hearts. Alas, it was too short for that show, so I am able to publish it here:

A sweet remembrance of Sri Chinmoy's loving thoughtfulness offering a rose.

Kanan Roberts, owner and manager of the flower boutique The Garland of Divinity's Love, offers a sweet, private recollection -- Sri Chinmoy's loving thoughtfulness while offering a rose.

A song immortal by Sri Chinmoy

Sri Chinmoy has composed literally thousands of songs. Each one of us has his favourites, and Jago Amar Swapan Sathi is one of my absolute favourites.

As somebody very close to the song said, Jago Amar Swapan Sathi is an immortal song... a diamond.

Happy Birthday

Today spiritual seekers all the world over celebrate Sri Chinmoy's 76th birthday.

It is so difficult to word gratitude.

Let's be wordless then, our hearts singing of blue silent skies, unhorizoned dreams, divine frienship, of smiling tears and most soulful smiles.
